Improv Revolution generates creativity, comedy, and community at and around UC Irvine.
We love improv and want to share it!
We have a Core Ensemble (between 8-12 team members):
Auditions to join our Core Team happen quarterly on UC Irvine’s 10 Week Quarter System; Auditions typically are on the Monday of Week 1 at 3pm in MAB 129 at UC Irvine, and always have a Facebook event.
The Core Team performs every other week or more!
So we have at least 5 shows a quarter and 15 shows a year!
We also attend tons of outside festivals, and perform all over Southern California. In the past we have attended Chicago Improv Festival Regionals, the FOOSH Improv Apocalypse at UCSD, FRACAS at USC, The Spectacles College Tournament, The OC Improv Cup, The OC Improv Festival, and our own Coup De Comedy Festival at UCI.
We also have a Workshop Ensemble called Workshop Revolution. All are welcome to join this group – no audition required!
Workshop Revolution has FREE workshop/rehearsal time on Fridays from 12-3 pm in various locations (the latest info and updates are always on our Facebook Page). In our workshops, we go over Improv concepts for 10 weeks and often culminate in a final showcase performance or celebration! For more info, check out the Workshop Facebook Group page!
We also occasionally have a Comedy Writing Ensemble called SKETCH Revolution – a place for writers to work together to make awesome sketch shows as well as comedy video gold!
Finally, we invite our audience members to be a part of our Audience Ensemble!
YOU ARE AN EQUAL AND IMPORTANT PART TO ALL OF OUR SHOWS!
We also love to do improv at Festivals, with other teams (community, college, pro), and for organizations (like schools and companies that promote good)!
